As a Senior Support Engineer, John Evans never has a boring day. Whether he’s in the office assisting customers with questions, onsite helping with installations and customer training or helping to put a newly developed product into the field, John enjoys adapting and moving quickly to keep pace with the ever-present changes in the broadcasting industry.

In his seven years with Crispin, John has kept up with changes in the company too, from moving to a new office building, to helping develop the advancement of product lines over the years. One thing that hasn’t changed, however, is the teamwork and camaraderie that make up Crispin.

“Coming from AT&T, a company with 35,000 people, to Crispin, which has about 20 employees, I immediately recognized a sense of teamwork unlike that of any organization I’ve worked with,” John says. “Though change is a constant in our industry, the family atmosphere here has always stayed consistent.”

Originally from a small town in northeast Georgia, John moved to central North Carolina when he was a teenager. He decided to attend NC State after high school, and is proud to be Wolfpack sports fan for life. While there, John took a scuba diving course, which led him to work alongside his instructor as a safety diver for the next several years.

While he’d like to have more time for scuba diving in the future, right now, he and his wife, Christy, are spending their free time working on the house they recently bought. “We just closed on our new house and are excited about working on home improvement projects and getting all settled in.” John is also looking forward to barbecuing at the new place and making one of his specialty meals, smoked pork.

Around the office, John is known for being a top competitor in the office fantasy football league. Though he says he had a rough playoff run last year, he’s ready to come back and win it all again this year.
