Technical Services Engineer, John Gunter, is no stranger to the broadcasting world. Before joining the Crispin team, he spent seven years as a Broadcast Engineer at various TV stations in the Raleigh area.
When he wanted to find a change of pace, Crispin seemed like a natural fit. He says, “I like the world of broadcasting because every day is a little different. But I got to the point where I was ready to move out of a TV station role and into something related, yet different.”
He now spends his days troubleshooting issues, training and providing support for Crispin customers. Eventually, he’ll be traveling offsite to news stations around the country to help with setup of the Crispin system. With his background, he’ll feel right at home.
Outside of work, John runs his family farm in Chatham County, which can be traced back in his lineage to the 1700s. “We have cattle, a horse and hounds. It keeps me busy, but I really enjoy working on it,” he says. He also owns a tow truck and spends some of his free time out towing around town.
But the most important thing in his life is his family. He and his wife, Emily, are enjoying life with their one-year-old daughter, Reba. He says, “She just turned one in December. We’re having a lot of fun watching her grow.”
