This document outlines the job responsibilities and requirements for the IT Analyst position, here at Crispin.  This position is required to work from the Crispin office based in Raleigh, NC.  Information outlined in this posting is a high level description; the job responsibilities may be adjusted as needed, pending review of the position on a continual basis.

Job Overview:

  • As the primary IT Analyst on the IT Security team, the candidate will be responsible for carrying out specific assignments related to day to day IT support and infrastructure projects.  Day to day IT responsibilities include management of OS and security patch rollouts to the company workstations and servers.  A significant portion of the typical workweek will be devoted to specific projects aligned with the parent corporation Global IT group.  The position is well-suited for the candidate who enjoys working with IT security products in a corporate environment and is able to work on a detailed level to create solid solutions.  

    Ability to understand the big picture aspects of a project, and organize the effort is a key qualification for the successful candidate.  For many projects, the goals have already been set so the ‘next step’ for those projects involves planning, detailed design, and implementation.  Communication skills (listening, learning, asking questions), and ability to discuss and formulate plans at a technical level is essential.   

    Stakeholders for projects are local personnel at Crispin, who will help guide and oversee the IT efforts, and global IT engineers associated with our corporate parent.  A teamwork mindset, communication skills, and technical proficiency are essential qualifiers for this position.

    A solid technology background is required, and strong experience in a Windows workstation/ server/ Active Directory environment.  Prior experience in managing/ configuring firewall, router and other backbone network elements is beneficial.  The candidate should be familiar with industry tools such as Qualys and Crowdstrike.

IT Analyst Skills:

  • Windows administrator knowledge and skills: configuration of disk/ partitions, managing user accounts, Active Directory, Group Policy distribution, scripting.
  • Server management, VM management
  • Client deployment, management, troubleshooting
  • User support for workstation/ laptop issues
  • IT Security tools: Qualys, Crowdstrike, others.  Candidate should be prepared to discuss level of expertise and prior experience with one or more deployed platform tools such as these.
  • Interest in the field, and actively keeping current with IT Security topics
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively work with detailed information with clarity and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain and create technical documents

Education / Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in IT Technology, or related discipline
  • Certifications (including in-progress) 
  • Continuing education in the field (list relevant courses/ training)
