Crispin Unveils new Products at NAB 2003
Raleigh, NC. -April 5, 2003- CRISPIN Corporation, a leading
provider of TV automation, will unveil five new solutions at NAB 2003
for broadcast automation.
RapidPrep- A user interface that is used to quality control
programs that were automatically recorded from satellite feeds and
mark the segments of the program to create accurate timing information
for use by RapidPlayX in program playback. RapidPrep pulls program
data from the Assetbase giving the user a rapid and efficient tool for
timing shows. RapidPrep controls most all video servers as well as
Crispin's new Low Rez video server. System 3000 is an updated, feature
rich, full automation on-air playback solution with ethernet control
of most servers, extended device controls, and multi-channel playback
capabilities. System 3000 features database management, playlist
management, and device control for single to multiple station levels.
It accommodates network delays, long form records, playback operations
and commercial record playback operation. It is backed up by a new low
profile rack mounted computer system built to our exact specifications
and designed to handle any broadcast automation requirement.
NewsPlayX - Crispin's NewsPlayX is a Live News Playback
System that works in conjunction with most news automation systems
including Avid's iNews, AvStar, and a MOS interface with AP's ENPS.
The NewsPlayX system translates the rundown and executes the playback
while controlling video servers, switchers, tape machines and many
other devices. The NewsPlayX system maps the news system rundown to
different server channels to allow back-to-back video transition
overlapping, and supports simultaneous playback of mirrored Video
Servers for redundancy. Producers can make last minute rundown changes
effortlessly and the LIVE changes are automatically reflected on the
playlist. As part the Crispin System2000/3000 automation family,
NewsPlayX can archive stories from servers to DVD-RAM or videotape.
The system archives stories immediately and stores copies on the
server for a few days after air. The system then clears stories from
the server a few days after last use. NewsPlayX also records news
feeds from affiliate feed services directly onto the station's video
servers.
ClipCopX- Updated version of ClipCop, ClipCopX provides clip
transfer between fibre channel or other high-speed network connected
servers. Performs a variety of operations including copying,
mirroring, and playlist caching. Custom rules allow fully automatic
operation with enhanced integration for archiving. Crispin Archive
Manager (CAM) - CAM provides end-to-end real-time video content
cataloging, storage and retrieval of real-time video content for
playback and editing. Crispin's new CAM provides an affordable DVD-RAM
archive solution to provide safe asset storage on individual cartridge
or robotic jukeboxes. It can stand alone or be integrated with
automation. Crispin takes a "modular" approach to
automation. The new AssetBase3000 release allows greater broadcast
efficiencies by combining the unique ClipCopX rules base file transfer
application with AssetBase's media management and CAM. Tighter
integration of these modules takes management, control, and movement
of assets to the level required by future digital operations.
Crispin "LoRez" Video Server- An integrated or
stand alone shadow server that automatically creates low resolution
files from primary video servers for viewing, reviewing, or segmenting
video material. Low-Rez integrates seamlessly into existing Crispin
systems.
