TurboBrowser is a companion application to
RapidPlayX.
Usually sized narrow and tall, it allows operators
to quickly search and fi nd any video clip in their
system. Once located, operators can simply drag
and drop clips into the playlist for immediate
play.
In keeping with Crispin’s tradition of providing
a scalable system that is non-database dependent
for critical on-air operations, TurboBrowser may
select media from AssetBase, Crispin’s database
application, or directly from any video server
in the system. The list auto-updates so operator
additions and deletions are quickly reflected.
A dual-stage fi lter allows the clip list to be
customized by specifying text at the beginning
of, or within the clip ID, title or comment field.
This is very useful when multiple groups share
a common server and only need to search within
a subset of the whole clip inventory. The view
is confi gurable so you see only what you need
to see.
