Crispin - RapidPlay X

Reliable and extremely flexible, RapidPlayX is the front end for Crispin’s scalable full automation on-air playback solution. This powerful, yet easy to use software application allows complete control of multiple play-to-air channels and record schedules. The application is highly conﬁ gurable, providing multiple views of the same schedule and even mix ﬁ elds of diﬀ erent schedules in the same view. Timeline and status overviews are available for multi-channel facilities.

RapidPlayX is the ultimate application for precise control of all channels and all devices necessary for broadcast presentation and DTV control. RapidPlayX is a client to Crispin’s EventServer real-time list controller and may be staged in multiple locations and control from one to 16 channels of programming. With LAN connectivity, system layout is ﬂ exible allowing multipleRapidPlayX graphic user interfaces (GUIs) to access the same or diﬀ erent playlists.

RapidPlayX will automatically load daily program and record schedules for 7/24 operations. It will instantly update events when new material is available in the video server or is updated in the AssetBase media database.

RapidPlay X Key Features

• Controls 1-16 channels, multiple applications can be linked together for additional channels.
• Supervisory and timeline views provide multi-channel operations with immediate and obvious status of all channels (allows single operator to monitor multiple channels with a high-level overview of tasks to be performed.)
• Master slave operation links channels with common programming and includes automatic ﬁ ll and trim of breaks. Operation allows regional feeds of programming to broadcast a diﬀ erent set of commercials based on region.
• Emergency channel operating mode allows manual switcher control to be written to as-run log. Perfect for join-in-progress apllications.
• User-deﬁ nable on-screen ﬁ le cabinets allow quick insertion into the playlist of single events or entire blocks of a schedule using drag & drop. There are 100 possible ﬁle cabinet entries per ﬁ le cabinet tab with one tab per channel. Drag & drop ﬁ les from Windows to ﬁ le cabinets.
• Supports multiple secondary events. Secondary events appear normally in the playlist and are editable just as normal events and may be referenced to the start or end of the associated primary event.
• Not dependent on the AssetBase media database for operation. Metadata already read into the schedule by RapidPlayX remains available to air operations.
• Access devices across multiple DeviceServers. Devices including video server channels are not hardwired or dedicated to the user interface.
• An event may be inserted, deleted, or edited at any time. Close-to-air changes are as fast as your video server can handle them.
• Program channels continue to operate and control playback and record even if RapidPlayX is shut down or taken oﬀ -line
• TCP-IP connectivity with true client/server operation enables ﬂ exible conﬁ guration in multi-channel operations
• User-deﬁ nable screens include arranging of order and names of ﬁ elds and creation of custom views
• May be installed on any automation system workstation for multiple points of control
• SmartWedge GPI or Keyshot roll panel control options allow simple external control
