AssetBase
AssetBase is a unique Web-enabled asset management
solution that combines extensive media management
capabilities with a powerful relational database.
Together, these tools allow users to monitor and
track specific video assets such as house numbers,
ISCI, comments, durations and cue points on various
video servers, archive storage systems and near-line
disk arrays.
Another AssetBase feature allows users to automatically
create and manage associated metadata, such as
program length, date shot, editor and number of
times aired. Crispin applications connect to the
database via Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC)
to allow users both read and write functions.
AssetBase is the fabric that ties air operations
together and streamlines the workflow for a totally

include NewsCat, an integrated news cataloguing
and archive system and ArchiveManager, a solution
scalable in choice of functionality and storage

economical way of extending the storage of on-air
video servers and protecting valuable assets.
Crispin's ArchiveManager manages the storage
of digital programs on a mix of RAID drives, Blu-ray, and LTO tape for long-term storage. All
archived material can be readily available for
airing and dubbing. Crispin's ArchiveManager is
the only affordable system that's integrated with
automation, and consequently, does not require
"middle-ware" to manage the actual archive
volumes. This feature simplifies the management
