Crispin - Asset Base

AssetBase is a unique Web-enabled asset management solution that combines extensive media management capabilities with a powerful relational database.

Together, these tools allow users to monitor and track specifi c video assets such as house numbers, ISCI, comments, durations and cue points on various video servers, archive storage systems and near-line disk arrays.

Another AssetBase feature allows users to automatically create and manage associated metadata, such as program length, date shot, editor and number of times aired. Crispin applications connect to the database via Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC) to allow users both read and write functions.play-to-air.

AssetBase is the fabric that ties air operations together and streamlines the workfl ow for a totally automated broadcast
facility. It is an essential component for maximizing user efficiency.

Asset Base Key Features

• Discrepancy reports are automatically generated when discrepancies exist between traffi c schedules, available media in the database and content on the video server. (Users can view and correct the problem from anywhere on the network.)
• Web-enabled application provides instant access to information on the network by authorized users. (If users know how to browse the web, they can easily learn how to browse AssetBase.)
• Monitors video server content and automatically updates the media database even for assets placed there by other systems such as editing applications.
• Traffic department can view all catch server content and assign internal house numbers. New assignments automatically appear at dubbing station.
• Dub lists are automatically generated by AssetBase allowing operators to view and dub content in Crispin’s Dubber application. (No typing required.)
• View any asset in the system right at your desktop including LoRez proxy clips and slates (requires Crispin’s LoRez proxy server.)
• Schedule deletion of clips by time and date ensuring that old promos never air
• Exports media timing information for use by traffi c systems
